hmmm.. when I was ten, I was mostly spending my time drawing and playing computer games xDD because my Dad had this crazy idea that I could learn English by playing adventure/conversation games Being interested in computers then helped me be friends with boys but on a completely different level than other girls wanted to be xD And this lasted for quite a long; I got to like boys as friends without thinking of more *shrugs*
Definitely check the movie someday! When I went to my first summer camp to take care of children there, I got two girls into my group, they were 12 and 13 (I was barely 19 back then) and even though the camp was practically in the middle of nowhere, surrounded by forest with no real civilisation anywhere near xDD, they wore brand clothes and didn't leave their room without make-up... And one morning the 12-y/o came to me and asked whether it would be possible that a boyfriend of the other girl came to visit... and from the talk it became soon clear the boy must have been already over 18 bc he would have come by a car O__o I said no, of course, because of many reasons; and a while later they both came to me again, practically begging and even offering a lot of money O______o Luckily, we had a trip planned for the afternoon so no visit happened in the end.
And then I read books about childhood in 19th century or before, and everyone is happy that nowadays, unlike in the past, the society gives children space and chance to have childhood... nah... obviously, many children actually don't need chidlhood at all, desperately trying to be *cough*mature*cough* sooner than necessary.. .__. gosh, I must sound like such a prude
